Register now for this fun day of exploring the Lake Winnebago area. The motorcoach trip includes the following:

  • Burdocks and Rust: Julie and Bob Kissinger have invited us to visit their 3 1/2-acre, restored historical farmstead. Besides touring the gardens that feature rustic outbuildings and machinery, we'll also see their renovated farmhouse and enjoy coffee and donuts.
  • TJ’s Harbor Restaurant: Our buffet lunch will be in a private pavilion on Lake Winnebago. Lunch includes Silver Dollar sandwiches, artisan salad, potato salad, house cut chips, fresh vegetables, assorted fruit, cookies and beverage.
  • Ledgerock Distillery: After touring this "seed-to-spirit" family farm and distillery, we'll enjoy a tasting, a mocktail or cocktail and snacks. Besides spirits, we'll learn about their bee hives and honey production and enjoy some shopping before returning to Milwaukee.

There are two pickup locations where you can park your car and get on the bus:

  1. 8:15 am at Greenfield Park & Ride, 4826 S. 108th St., Greenfield, WI. The motorcoach will depart promptly at 8:30am for the next pickup spot.
  2. 8:45 am at Lannon Road Park & Ride, W195N10653 Lannon Rd, Germantown, WI. The bus will depart at 9:00am.

Please try to arrive early to allow for check-in. There is no refund if you miss the bus. Indicate your bus pickup location below.

Burdocks and Rust is privately owned by Bob and Julie Kissinger, and we are honored to be their guests and visit their 3-1/2 acre paradise. The farmstead stood vacant for 26 years before Bob and Julie bought it nine years ago. Julie is president of Green Thumb Garden Club in Fond du lac, and enjoys sharing her gardens with other garden club members.
