Garden Clubs in the Milwaukee District

Brookfield-Elm Grove Area
Elmbrook Garden Club usually meets the 1st Thursday of the month (Mar – Dec) at the Brookfield Library, 1900 N. Calhoun Rd., starting  at 6pm. Contact Shelley Swanson, President, for more information.

Elm Grove Garden Club meets the 3rd Thursday of the  month at club member's homes starting at 9am or 6pm. Contact Cheryl Lausten, President, or visit elmgrovegardenclub.com.

Floral Designers Garden Club meets the 3rd Monday of the month starting at 6:30pm. Contact Kitty Larkin, President, for locations.

Brookfield-Menomonee Falls Area
Western Acres Garden Club meets the last Monday of the month at Brookfield Senior Community Center, 2000 N. Calhoun Road, starting at 7pm. Contact Kitty Larkin, President. Western Acres sponsors a youth club called Little Acres Garden Club.

Fox Point Area
Fox Point Federated Garden Club ​meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Chiswick At Dunwood, Clubhouse Meeting Room , 7700 N. Port Washington Rd., at 7pm. Contact Barbara White, President or visit the website.

Four Seasons Garden Club meets the 2nd Thursday of the month at Kemper Center, 6501 Third Ave., starting at 6:30 pm. Contact Karen Taskonis, President.

Join a Garden Club
There are about 500 members in 15 garden clubs in nine counties in the Milwaukee District. To join a garden club in the Milwaukee District listed below, contact the president directly or leave a message on our contact page. You can join any club listed. You do not have to live in the area associated with a club. Can't find a club near you? Contact our interim district director, Diane Olsen, about starting one.

​As a member of a garden club, you'll have fun, meet new friends and learn. You don't have to have a garden. You just need to be enthusiastic about learning new skills such as arranging flowers or participating in civic beautification, conservation, youth gardening and disaster relief. 

When?
Garden clubs generally meet monthly. Some meet in members homes while others meet at a central location.

Cost?
Yearly dues vary by club and are used to fund programs and outreach activities. A portion goes to National Garden Club, Inc. and to Wisconsin Garden Club Federation.

Involvement?
Depends on your time schedule and interests, of course. Attend and help out as you can.

​Programs and Projects
​Monthly meetings offer a wide range of programs. As a club member, you can help plan the programs which may include gardening techniques, garden crafts, tours, flower arranging, landscape hints or address environmental concerns. ​
